This seems to be a favorite of everyone who’s tried it. When I put it together, I was actually looking for something with more of a sweet flavor, but this warm salsa ended up being a hit with everyone, leaving me with constant orders to fill. So here you go, my famous warm salsa. Always serve this warm or steaming hot.

1 tsp oil
2 large jalapeños, seeded and diced
1 small onion, peeled and diced
2 tsp garlic, minced
1-28 oz can diced petite tomatoes
1 tsp lemon juice
Salt and white pepper to taste
1 large bunch cilantro

Sauté jalapeños, onion and garlic in oil over medium heat. Cook until tender and browning slightly. Mix in tomatoes and add salt and white pepper to taste. Stir in lemon juice and 28 oz water (1 tomato can full). Bring to a boil over medium high heat and reduce temperature. Cook over medium heat for 1 hour, mixing periodically. Turn heat off and allow to cool. Once cooled, add cilantro to the bottom of blender. Pour in half of the salsa. Puré until smooth. Add remaining half and pulse 2-3 times, leaving a little chunky. Serve this salsa warm or steaming hot.
